Romsey Foodbank has had a very busy 3 months with a Back to School rush, almost immediately into Harvest Festival and now straight into Christmas planning! It has been an active and non-stop autumn but we certainly are not complaining.
This Harvest Festival has been incredible with the number of donations coming in. We have been so well supported yet again and with seasons changing, heating being turned on, the foodbank is expecting to get busier again this winter. Thankfully, due to the generosity of our small town, we’ve been donated over 3,100kg of food from Schools, Churches, Community groups and more. This means we are able to continue being generous to those visiting us, even if numbers rise this year.
We are hosting our annual Christmas Hamper Making Events again this year which some schools have donated towards with Christmas items but we are still asking for more donations. Please do get in touch if you would like to donate to our events this year via info@romsey.foodbank.org.uk.
Thank you to everyone that has supported us this Harvest. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at Romsey Foodbank.
