Friends of the Allendale Lottery Launched to Support Wimborne’s oldest Community Centre

Wimborne, Dorset – 2 June 2026 – Allendale Community Centre has launched the Friends of the Allendale Lottery, giving people a simple way to support the charity while also having the chance to win monthly cash prizes.

Based in the heart of Wimborne for over 50 years, the Allendale Community Centre welcomes thousands of visitors each year and provides a home for local groups, theatre, live music, classes, markets, Wimborne Minster Market, the Allendale Café, volunteering opportunities and vital support services.

As a registered charity, the Centre relies on a mix of earned income, donations, grants and local support to keep its facilities open, affordable and accessible. The new monthly lottery has been created to offer individuals a regular and practical way to help sustain our work.

From just £2 per month, paid by monthly standing order, participants are automatically entered into every draw. The lottery is open to people over 18 across Great Britain, and subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with no penalty.

Each month, three cash prizes will be awarded:

1st Prize: £100
2nd Prize: £50
3rd Prize: £25

After payment of the prizes, money raised through the lottery will go directly towards the Centre’s charitable activities, including employment and training opportunities for people living with disabilities, events and activities that support older residents, and the maintenance and improvement of facilities used by the wider community.

The first draw will take place on 17th June 2026.

Carole Chedgy, Vice Chair of Trustees for Allendale Community Centre said: “Every ticket sold helps support the Allendale and the work we do in the community. The lottery is a simple way for people to become a recognised Friend of the Centre, while also having the chance to win a prize. We are very grateful to everyone who chooses to take part.”

Entry forms, standing order mandates, terms and conditions, and the full lottery policy are available on the dedicated lottery page:
