NCT Winchester & District Nearly New Sale Promotes Sustainable Shopping

The NCT Winchester & District Nearly New Sale is back this autumn — and this year, it’s proudly flying the flag for sustainable, community-powered shopping. Join us on Sunday 11 October 2026, 13:00–15:00 (with early access for NCT members at 12:45) at Kings’ School, Winchester, for thousands of high-quality, pre-loved baby and children’s items, all under one roof.

Taking place just days after Winchester Green Week, this Nearly New Sale, sponsored by Dybles estate agents, highlights how simple, everyday choices can make a big difference. By choosing second-hand, local families can save money, reduce waste and give great items a new lease of life — all while supporting vital NCT services in the Winchester area. At our last sale, nearly 2500 items were given a second life and saved from landfill.

Shoppers can expect a calm, cashless, high street style experience, with items quality checked, sorted by category, and laid out like a department store. It’s not a jumble sale — it’s a curated, family-friendly event designed to make finding the right clothes, toys and equipment quick, easy and enjoyable. Fiona Camfield, Sale Coordinator, says, “Our Nearly New Sales are fantastic for parents and parents-to-be – you can find everything you need under one roof. If you’re looking for a baby bath, they’ll all be grouped together, and you can pick the right one for you.”

A pop-up café will be open throughout the afternoon, offering homemade cakes, warm drinks and a welcoming space to take a breather. Kings’ School is easily accessible on foot and by public transport, and visitors are encouraged to use sustainable travel options wherever possible.

Nearly New Sales are the NCT’s biggest fundraising events of the year, powered by a small organising committee and a brilliant team of around 40 volunteers. Volunteering is a fun way to meet other local parents, support the community, enjoy early access to the best bargains and benefit from reduced seller commission.

Profits from the sale help fund NCT Winchester & District’s local work, including breastfeeding support, a reusable nappy library, local meet-ups for parents and much more. Sellers don’t need to be NCT members, and registration is now open — spaces fill quickly, so early sign-up is recommended.
