Cornwall’s Miracle Theatre return to Dorset
Cornwall’s much‑loved Miracle Theatre hit the road once again this summer with a brand‑new outdoor production, bringing their trademark blend of laughter, magic and imaginative storytelling to a fresh adaptation of the classic tale – Peer Gynt.
Miracle Theatre will visit Dorset for two special performances as part of the summer programme presented by local arts charity Artsreach, with a cast of four bringing this epic adventure vividly to life in the great outdoors.

Adapted and directed by Bill Scott, Miracle Theatre’s take on Ibsen’s timeless story follows the fortunes of young Peer, a charming yet lazy dreamer who misinterprets Shakespeare’s advice to “thine own self be true” to mean “look after number one!”.
Embracing a life of self‑interest, wild ambition and questionable decisions, Peer chases after riches and pleasure, living a life of moral failure and endless excuses. Drawn into a series of surreal encounters and moral missteps, can Peer outrun the consequences of his actions, or will his choices finally catch up with him?
