Mayor’s Charity Auction of Promises to Raise Funds for Local Causes

Residents are warmly invited to attend a special Mayor’s Auction of Promises on Wednesday 18 March at Allenbourn Middle School, raising funds for the Mayor’s chosen charities.

The event, hosted by the Mayor of Wimborne Minster, will support two valuable local causes: Millstream Disabled Theatre Group and a youth project with Dorset Community Action, both of which provide important opportunities and support within the community.

Doors will open at 6.30pm, with the auction beginning at 7.00pm. Admission is free, and guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival.

Around 40 exciting lots will be available on the evening, offering a wide variety of experiences and opportunities. Items include jewellery valued at £200, a yachting session, Gold Membership at Canford Sports Centre, a kayak or canoe session for four people, two days Bournemouth beach hut hire, a round of golf with a semi-professional, vineyard tour and tasting, tickets to Sculpture by the Lake, a brewery tour with drinks, Wimborne Town FC hospitality, fishing at Dean’s Court and many more.

The Mayor hopes the event will raise at least £1,000 for the charities and is encouraging strong community support to help make the evening a success.

The Auction promises to be an enjoyable and sociable evening while supporting worthwhile local causes. Everyone is welcome to attend.
