All funds raised will go towards purchasing the BD Cato™ Medication Workflow Solution for the Cancer Services Unit at Basingstoke Hospital—a critical piece of equipment costing £79,903 that will replace outdated manual processes with automated, paperless workflows, ensuring greater accuracy and efficiency. This will enhance patient care, improve outcomes, reduce errors, cut costs, and optimise efficiency.
The Hampshire Medical Fund was founded by the late Earl of Carnarvon in 1981 and continues to play a vital role in funding state-of-the-art medical equipment for Basingstoke, Winchester, and Andover hospitals—equipment that is not covered by NHS budgets. Over the past decade alone, the charity has funded more than 165 pieces of equipment totalling over £5 million.
