Exciting news! Oakhaven Hospice will be opening its new Home & Craft charity shop at 27a St Thomas’ Street in Lymington on Wednesday, 2nd April.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the new shop, which will be opened at 10 am by the Lymington and Pennington Town Mayor, Jack Davies, Southampton footballing legend Matt Le Tissier, and The Teddy Bear Ladies of the ‘Bear It In Mind’ shop in Beaulieu who star on BBC TV’s The Repair Shop.
Local crafters have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Oakhaven’s new charity shop since the closure of its pop-up craft shop in Lymington eighteen months ago. The Home & Craft shop will stock a wide range of haberdashery, fabrics, crafting materials, children’s crafts, books and games, as well as kitchenware, dining ware, electrical goods and other homeware.
The Home & Craft Shop will be Oakhaven’s ninth charity shop, joining the Furniture, Children’s, Fashion and Designer Fashion Shops in Lymington, along with those in Totton, New Milton and two shops in Hythe. Each is an Aladdin’s cave filled with real treasures and the ultimate in recycling!
Oakhaven’s charity shops are an important source of income for the Hospice, which only receives 11% of its funding from the NHS. Your shop donations and purchases all help to fund vital end-of-life care for patients and specialist support for their families and loved ones – free of charge – when they need it most. Oakhaven’s care and support extends throughout our New Forest, Totton and Waterside communities.
Head of Retail, Gary Taylor, said, “We are delighted to be opening our new Home & Craft shop, which has been keenly awaited by quite a large following of crafters. In each of our charity shops, you will find a great team of staff and volunteers working together to help you, who pride themselves on delivering first-class customer service. We look forward to welcoming you soon.”
