Andover Choral will be performing a concert of Spring Choral Classics with their new Musical Director, Craig Lawton, on Saturday 3 May in St Mary’s Church, Andover.
They will bring to life the little known but extremely beautiful Hummel Mass No 1 in B flat Major. Alongside this they are singing a number of other short pieces by famous composers including Mozart, Brahms, Elgar, and Bruckner. The rich acoustics of St Mary’s Church, are ideal for this type of performance, and the surroundings will undoubtedly enhance the musical evening.
ACS are pleased to announce that Craig Lawton has joined them from Southampton and has brought a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the choir. This long-established, respected local choral society is looking forward to continuing to perform the amazing classical choral repertoire, for which they are well known, under Craig’s leadership.
