As the festive season fast approaches, December brings all the fun of the fairs! A wonderful way to Christmas shop as they offer unique, hand-crafted gifts whilst supporting your local community and experiencing that magical Christmas feeling! Collect your guide as to What’s On over the festive period from the Centre.
Here at the Visitor Centre, we are proud to be championing local artists, having teamed up with Chris’s Art House which represents Romsey artists. In the Centre, you will find a wide selection of pieces perfect for Christmas presents, with the range changing monthly.
For the first time, we are assisting Maggie’s Southampton Cancer support charity in the sale of their Charity Christmas Carol Concert on Friday 13th December, being held in the stunning Romsey Abbey featuring the Royal Marines Association Brass Ensemble, Alresford Community Choir, and soloist harpist Kate Ham. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional, and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Also on the 13th December, Santa Claus will be dropping into Romsey, and we suspect he may need to help Romsey’s Fire Brigade. All in all, a very festive evening to be had!
We welcome the annual return of Cards for Good Causes; we stock Christmas cards from over 45 charities, plus gifts and wrapping, and we sell second-class stamps. Did you know we also have a selection of local history and walk books, and we are agents for National Theatre tokens, which are all wonderful present ideas?
