We hope you had a lovely summer; can’t quite believe we are now entering autumn! As always Romsey and the surrounding area is full of wonderful activities and events for you to fill your diary with.
We welcome the restarting of Romsey Abbey’s free lunchtime recitals on Tuesdays at 1pm, collect a programme of events from the Visitor Centre. Additionally, there are two wonderful evening concerts being held: Royal Marines Association Concert Band with the Portsmouth Military Wives Choir and later in the month enjoy a birthday concert for Gustav Holst, celebrating his music featuring excerpts from The Planets.
The Romsey Show makes its annual return on Saturday 14 September, a traditional country show where ‘town and country meet’ at Broadlands Park, a fabulous day out for all the family.
We are delighted that Demfest is returning to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on Sunday 15 September, a unique festival which embraces dementia awareness. A free event celebrating 10 years of Romsey being a Dementia friendly town; with information stands, interactive family activities and live music.
Hopefully by the time you read this you will have enjoyed Romsey’s Food Fair and consumed all your yummy purchases in time for Andover’s brand new food festival for 2024. Sunday 29 September will see Andover’s high street brimming with delicious mouth-watering fare in celebration of the Taste of the Test Valley.
