The Drama club had a great success with ‘Godfrey’s Last Stand’ – It was a sell out! We even added a special show in Langton Herring Village Hall which was warmly received. So thank you to all who supported us! The Weymouth Drama Club goes back at the end of June to The Bay Theatre in Weymouth College to perform a hilarious comedy The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, directed by Julie Knight, tells the story of five women who were coached together as part of a swim team and who continued to meet every year, for a weekend away; this has been their routine for the last 30 years. They have followed each other’s lives and shared their experiences. They always meet in August at a holiday house “The Sweet Delilah”, in Georgia, Alabama, by the sea, and rekindle their friendship.
The Sweet Delilah Swim Club is a well-written, brilliantly directed, and superbly acted play, and it will certainly be worth your effort to venture out The Bay Theatre spend to some quality time with five Southern Belles at the “Sweet Delilah Cottage” by the sea.
