The south’s premier family fireworks event is back with a bang this weekend as Bournemouth Fireworks lights up the Saturday night sky over Littledown Centre with three giant displays for the price of one.
And the town’s biggest and best-loved family fireworks party promises even more bang for your buck this year with more of everything.
There’s live music from a brilliant Bon Jovi tribute band and jaw dropping free entertainment from the region’s most celebrated fire performers. When you add free have-a-go sports and a penalty shoot-out on the Littledown pitches along with the famous indoor inflatable play Family Zone, you have an unforgettable night out that need not break the bank.
“Bournemouth Fireworks has been putting miles of smiles on people’s faces for 28 years now – we know how to throw a fireworks party that’s the best value in town,” says event organiser Serena Wren.
“We enjoy a hard earned reputation for a great night out with not, one, not two, but three great fireworks shows – all set to music – and still leave regulars with plenty of time to enjoy the other attractions.”
A highlight of the community calendar, Bournemouth Fireworks is the only event with three outstanding displays. Fire performers do their thing in between the first two family shows and fantastic live music paves the way for the evening’s highlight, the White Knuckle – still the latest and loudest fireworks display in the south.
Added attractions include the always-popular funfair with its giant rides, well-stocked bars, and delicious street food market stalls.
Since it started in 1998, Bournemouth Fireworks has worked with Pains, the UK’s largest and longest established fireworks company, dating back to 1590. Founder John Pain is thought to have supplied the gunpowder used by Guy Fawkes and his fellow plotters to try to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605!
Today, Pains is leading the field in sustainability, offsetting the emissions of each display in partnership with the tree-planting charity Just One Tree. They also minimise their environmental impact by using bio-LPG fuel, fireworks with recyclable casings, and water-soluble confetti.
Tickets available now. Adults are £13* and children £9*, with under 3s going free.
Gates open at 5pm.
