Weymouth and Portland Chamber Confirms Leadership Team and Sets Priorities

Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce looks to build on a successful year after reappointing its leadership team for 2026/27.

Members gathered at Oliveto in Weymouth for the AGM, where the Chamber reviewed progress over the past 12 months and set priorities for the year ahead.

Dominique Manasseri, owner of Oliveto, was re-elected as President. Claire Hoff of DJ Property and Clive Garman, director of Sherrens The Printers, were reappointed as Vice Presidents, while Sam Russell of Albert Goodman remains Treasurer.

The meeting heard that the Chamber had enjoyed a strong year, with good member engagement, a well-supported events programme and a positive financial position. The accounts were approved by members.

In her President’s Report, Dominique reflected on a year of renewed engagement and a stronger Chamber presence within the local business community, with the organisation supporting a wide range of events and initiatives and continuing to raise its profile among businesses of all sizes.

She said: “We are proud of the progress made over the past year and remain focused on supporting a thriving and connected business community. By working together, we can continue to create opportunities for growth across Weymouth and Portland.”

She also paid tribute to the Chamber’s Executive Committee.

Dominique added: “We recognise the strength and dedication of our Executive Committee, whose ongoing commitment plays a vital role in encouraging collaboration and helping the Chamber support the local business community.”

Claire Hoff commented: “It has been encouraging to see strong member engagement and a positive response to our programme of networking events over the past year. By offering both breakfast and afternoon sessions, the Chamber has been able to make those opportunities more accessible to a wider range of local businesses. Our priority is to ensure the Chamber remains accessible, relevant and valuable to all members.”

Clive Garman said: “There has been a real sense of renewed momentum around the Chamber, and we want to carry that forward in the year ahead by welcoming more businesses and continuing to strengthen the Chamber’s voice across Weymouth and Portland. The Chamber has an important role to play in helping local firms connect, share opportunities and be part of a strong business community.”

Albert Goodman was appointed as Honorary Auditors and Examiners for 2026/27.
