Test Valley Business Awards 2025 Next Week: Celebrating Local Success at The Lights

The Countdown is on to one of the most anticipated events in the local business calendar. The Test Valley Business Awards 2025 will take place next week, on Monday 15 September, at The Lights in Andover, bringing together business leaders, innovators, and community champions from across the borough.

This year’s awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of Test Valley businesses, with two major sponsors taking centre stage on the night: University of Southampton Science Park, sponsor of the Business Innovation and Technology Award, and Absola, sponsor of the Corporate Business Award.

Absolar, a clean technology and AI company based in Test Valley and spun out of the University of Southampton, knows first-hand the power of these awards. As a previous winner, Absolar has seen the positive impact the recognition can bring – boosting credibility, visibility, and growth opportunities. This year, Nic Cory, Director at Absolar, will address the audience, sharing insights into how the awards helped propel their journey.

Both sponsors will also take to the stage to celebrate the winners in their respective categories.

The Business Innovation and Technology Award finalists are:

Cobra Hydro – Romsey-based family-owned engineering firm specialising in environmental control systems

Downamics Ltd – Andover-based technical testing, analysis, and sports activities company

NexGen Heating – Romsey technology and manufacturing business

The Corporate Business Award finalists are:

Cobra Hydro – Romsey engineering firm

Finkley Nurseries – Andover, an early years childcare provider, offering unique indoor and outdoor learning experiences

Principal Business Travel – Andover-based independent travel agency

With so much talent and diversity represented across the categories, excitement is building to see who will take home the coveted awards.

“We are delighted to celebrate the resilience, innovation, and success of our business community here in Test Valley. The Awards night promises to be a fantastic occasion, recognising achievements that make our local economy thrive,” said Katie Brookes, Chairman of the Test Valley Business Awards.

The ceremony will bring together finalists, sponsors, and guests for an evening of recognition, networking, and celebration, all eagerly awaiting the announcement of this year’s winners.
