InstaVolt, the UK’s leading ultra-rapid EV charging network, has once again earned a prestigious Gold Medal from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), marking five consecutive years of safety excellence.
This year’s award highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to health and safety during the successful delivery of Winchester’s new EV superhub at Three Maids Hill. The landmark Winchester Superhub – now the largest in InstaVolt’s network – was delivered safely and incident-free by nearly 80 contractors working across nine months, without a single lost time injury (LTI).
With 44 ultra-rapid chargers, the site is already proving popular with local drivers and long-distance travellers alike and is an important part of the area’s sustainable travel ecosystem.
“We are incredibly proud to have achieved the Gold RoSPA Award for five consecutive years,” said Rachel Reade, HSEQ Manager at InstaVolt. This is a recognition that reflects our unwavering commitment to health and safety across every level of the business. This award is a testament to the proactive safety culture we’ve built – one where every team member takes ownership, looks out for one another, and prioritises doing things the right way, every day. It’s more than an award – it’s a reflection of our values and the high standards we set to ensure everyone goes home safe and well.”
Life President of RosPA, Lord Jordan of Bournville CBE said: “The ultimate symbol of achievement in safety and excellence, the internationally renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards recognise organisations, teams and projects across all sectors for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives, setting the benchmark for prestige and inspiring sector-wide admiration. By earning a RoSPA Award, organisations not only receive recognition for their accomplishments but also become part of a legacy that values dedication to high safety standards, the well-being of individuals, and signifies a commitment to excellence.”
As one of the UK’s fastest-growing EV charging networks, InstaVolt’s mission is to make EV charging simple, accessible, and reliable for everyone.
