Stannah is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Young Business Person Award at this year’s Test Valley Business Awards, celebrating the energy, innovation, and achievements of the region’s next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
The Young Business Person Award recognises individuals aged 30 and under who are making a real difference in their industry, demonstrating outstanding vision, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. Whether they’re running their own company or making an impact within a local business, this award honours young professionals who are shaping the future of Test Valley’s economy.
A long-standing, family-run business with a history spanning over 150 years, Stannah is now led by the sixth generation of the Stannah family. The company remains deeply committed to nurturing young talent and supporting future leaders—values that are reflected in its apprenticeship programmes within the lift industry.
Stannah was proud to be named the winner of the Business in the Community Award at the 2024 Test Valley Business Awards. Following that recognition, the company is now thrilled to give back by supporting this year’s event as a sponsor.
Fiona Neil, Head of Group Communications at Stannah, said: “As a family-owned business that has grown through generations of hard work and innovation, we are passionate about supporting young people who are forging their own paths in business. Sponsoring the Young Business Person Award allows us to celebrate the drive and creativity of tomorrow’s leaders and to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit that keeps our communities thriving.”
Stannah continues to champion opportunities for young people, offering apprenticeships and career development across a wide range of roles in engineering, manufacturing, and business support.
Nominations are now open, and members of the public, colleagues, or business leaders are encouraged to put forward deserving candidates. Katie Brooks, Chair of the Test Valley Business Awards, said: “We know there are many inspiring young people across the Test Valley doing amazing things – from launching startups to leading innovation within established companies. This award is about recognising that passion and potential. If you know someone who deserves to be celebrated, now is the time to nominate them.”
