Fans of Gilbert and Sullivan are invited to experience Sasha Regan’s all-male cast perform their rendition of H.M.S. Pinafore at Theatre Royal Winchester from Tuesday 20 April 2027.
H.M.S. Pinafore tells the story of a world at war, a ship at sea, and a little Gilbert & Sullivan to keep the darkness at bay! Set in the midst of the Second World War, as the conflict rages, a company of servicemen turns to theatre to create a spirited production of one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s most beloved operettas – and for a few precious hours, the war is forgotten and the crew of HMS Pinafore comes gloriously to life.
This charming rendition, which was nominated for two Off-West End awards for Best Opera Production and Best Performance in an Opera Production, is performed by Sasha Regan’s award-winning All-Male Gilbert & Sullivan Company who return to the city; and is packed with infectious songs, sparkling wit and a beautifully crafted libretto.
Sasha Regan is the theatre director and producer who won a Special Achievement Award (Off-West End awards) for her contribution to musical theatre and whose productions have been winning awards and selling out venues internationally for years.
