Jazz and swing fans will be delighted to hear that singer Marvin Muoneké will be returning to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 19 September.
The vocalist, bandleader, arranger and conductor – who returns after selling out two jazz nights at the theatre in 2020 and 2021 – presents a new show, this time with his brand-new Big Band – Marvin Muoneké’s Orchestra (Big Marv’s Big Fat Band), packed with fresh takes on classics by Count Basie and Louis Armstrong; audience favourites; and original material.
Described as The Young Man with the Old Soul, Marvin – who returns as part of this year’s Winchester Jazz Festival – is one of the UK’s rising jazz stars, known for his rich, distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. Inspired by the likes of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, the award-nominated jazz performer has performed across the UK and internationally; appeared on TV; released two albums; and toured with the Down for the Count Swing Orchestra – who also return to Theatre Royal Winchester in February.
With Marvin and his Big Band, a night of world-class entertainment awaits! Enjoy!
Marvin Muoneké’s Big Band will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 19 September at 7.30pm. For more information, visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
