Fans of the music of the American pop duo, The Carpenters, will delight in an evening celebrating the classics when The Carpenters: Voice of The Heart comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 15 September.
The Carpenters: Voice of The Heart is an evening that captures the timeless sound of the beloved siblings’ music, balancing uplifting classics with the more poignant songs from Voice Of The Heart, and includes an incredible back catalogue from Goodbye to Love to Close to You, and country favourites such as Top Of The World and Sweet Sweet Smile.
The show is a trip down memory lane – one filled with cherished memories of the pop duo’s music and the legendary singer, Karen Carpenter, who passed away over 30 years ago. Still, audiences will be familiar with the music as UK radio stations continue to play it daily!
For this evening’s entertainment, the songs are sung by Carole Gordon – who has toured with American country music singer-songwriter Tammy Wynette; enjoyed success across the pond; and appeared on TV. She is accompanied by the Blue Jeans Band & Singers.
