Residents at Kings Park Care Home in Ferndown were delighted to welcome therapy dog Umber and his daughter, Iris, from Helpful Hounds.
Bournemouth-based Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs is a UK-registered charity (1181017) dedicated to transforming lives through the incredible partnership between people and dogs.
Umber and Iris’ visit brought smiles, cuddles and plenty of tail wags – the kind of joy only a cute, furry companion can bring, while for others, Umber and Iris sparked precious memories of their own beloved pooches.
General Manager, Jenna May, said, “A heartfelt thank you to Helpful Hounds for bringing Umber and Iris to Kings Park. We look forward to welcoming them back soon.”
Kings Park Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Kings Park provides residential and memory care for both permanent and respite.
