Members of the public are invited to discover imaginative new ideas for the future of Wimborne Minster at a special public exhibition showcasing innovative architectural concepts created by students from Arts University Bournemouth.
Organised by Wimborne Minster Town Council’s Neighbourhood Plan Team in partnership with Arts University Bournemouth, the exhibition will feature a series of design proposals for an elevated village on the Allenview Car Park site. The concepts have been produced as part of a student design competition, with visitors encouraged to vote for their favourite proposal.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for the community to explore fresh thinking about how the town could evolve while speaking directly with the student designers and members of the Neighbourhood Plan Team.
The event forms part of the development of the new Wimborne Minster Neighbourhood Plan – a community-led blueprint that will help shape the future of the town over the next 10 to 15 years. The plan will guide future development while protecting the unique character of Wimborne Minster and identifying priorities for housing, green spaces, transport, infrastructure, and the local economy.
While the student designs are conceptual, they are intended to inspire discussion and encourage residents to think creatively about the future of the town. Feedback from visitors will help inform the Neighbourhood Plan Team and ensure that local aspirations are reflected in future planning policies.

The exhibition will take place at Allendale House, Wimborne Minster, from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Friday 3 July and Saturday 4 July 2026.
Admission is free, and members of the public are welcome to drop in at any time during opening hours.
