“High and Dry as the Storm Approaches” by David Felstead was awarded the trophy in the advanced category of Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club’s Projected Digital Image of the Year competition. Jon Mitchell was the judge, and he said he liked the lovely drama in the sky and the beautiful sense of space. Peter Robertson took second place with “Loch of the Armpit (Lochan na h-Achlaise)”, and Tim George was in third place with “Early Morning, Yorkshire Dales”. Two Seals of Merit were awarded to Hilary Henery and further seals were awarded to Lynn Lambeth, Peter Robertson and Brian Whittaker.
At the end of the evening Tim George was presented with the club’s PDI Photographer of the Year trophy, awarded to the highest scoring photographer for projected images submitted for assessment throughout the club year. Stu Bennett was the Print Photographer of the Year.
Some of these images may well be included in Viewfinders’ annual exhibition, which will be held in Romsey Abbey from 4th to 18th July as part of Romsey Festival.
