Three days of countryside entertainment, family fun and rural tradition return to Brockenhurst this July
With just two months to go, excitement is building for the return of the New Forest and Hampshire County Show, as preparations ramp up for three days of countryside entertainment, family fun and rural tradition at the Showground in Brockenhurst on 28, 29 and 30 July 2026.
Now in its 98th year, the Show is set to welcome thousands of visitors and more than 2,000 horses and riders competing across a wide range of equine classes and competitions, making it one of the UK’s leading equestrian events.
Headline Attraction
Headlining this year’s event is the spectacular Horsepower Fury stunt show. Taking over the Happy Hot Tubs East Ring, the high-energy performance features roaring engines, daring motorbike stunts, fire and breathtaking action on horseback, designed to thrill audiences of all ages.
Show Favourites Return
Visitors can also enjoy much-loved highlights, including the Heavy Horse Musical Drive, Old Time Farming Parade, Tug of War, and the Grand Parade of award-winning livestock.
Family Fun & Farming Experience
There is plenty for families across the Showground, from fly fishing and meeting the gentle giants of the Heavy Horse Village to exploring the upgraded Farming Experience Zone. This year’s theme, “What British Farmers Grow – From Soil to Supper”, explores how food is produced in Britain and takes visitors on a journey from field to fork through hands-on, interactive activities.
Food & Local Produce
The popular Local Produce Area returns, showcasing the best food, drink and artisan products from across Hampshire and the New Forest, alongside live cookery demonstrations celebrating local flavours.
What’s New for 2026
New for 2026 is The Stirrup & Vine, the Show’s brand-new wine bar overlooking the Dog Ring. Named by the public in a competition, it brings a strong community touch to this year’s event.
Also making its debut is the Hobby Horse Ring, offering themed challenges and friendly competitions for hobby horse enthusiasts. More details will be announced soon.
