Vikki Slade MP has called for the Government to appoint a ministerial advocate for the South West in energy security, stating that it is a huge environmental and economic opportunity for Dorset
“Dorset has the potential to lead the way in green energy. We should seize that opportunity now, not delay it for another decade.” – Vikki Slade
Dorset has been recognised as a ‘medium-term opportunity’ for green energy initiatives, but the development of them is likely to be over a decade away, which Vikki Slade has called out as a “missed opportunity that delays Dorset’s potential”.
“Net Zero industries are already delivering higher wages than average and 50% greater productivity than the UK average. It would be a huge environmental and economic opportunity for our area.” – Vikki Slade
