On Saturday 4th April Ringwood & Fordingbridge Lions Club will be holding their monthly bookstall in Ringwood Town Centre on Meeting House Lane. All the money collected that day will be donated to New Forest For Ukraine. The Lions Club will also be accepting any donations of food, clothing, blankets, duvets, pillows, sleeping bags, and toiletries at their Bookstall that day
Members of Ringwood & Fordingbridge Lions Club will be travelling down to the New Forest For Ukraine (NFFU) Warehouse in Lymington to help package boxes of aid destined for war-torn Ukraine, and would welcome any donations you want to drop off at the bookstall to take with them. Pictured above is the club helping to package boxes at their warehouse last year.
Ringwood & Fordingbridge Lions Club President Alastair Ward explained, “We can’t believe the war has been continuing now for 4 years. We are humbled by the amazing work of NFFU in maintaining a steady stream of humanitarian aid to those struggling in and around Ukraine. We are honoured to help them where we can”.
NFFU accept a wide variety of donations which will be shipped out to aid centres and hospitals in Ukraine and Poland for families in need. There are collection points assembled all over the New Forest for anyone who would like to donate items needed for aid centres and hospitals in Ukraine. Anyone wishing to know more about either organisation or how they can help or volunteer can find out more at their respective websites: www.newforestforukraine.co.uk & www.randflions.org.uk.
