Two Hampshire Businesses Partner Up for Charity Fundraising Hoe Down

Two Andover-based businesses have joined forces to deliver a standout summer charity event, with all proceeds supporting Yellow Brick Road Projects, a local charity working to prevent youth homelessness and tackle poverty and isolation among young people.

The Local Marketing Company and Finkley Down Farm are hosting the ‘Hoe Down at Finkley Down’ on Saturday 27th June, transforming the popular farm venue into an immersive evening experience after dark.

Running from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, the event will feature live entertainment and music, food and a fully stocked bar, games and activities, as well as a raffle and auction. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme, with western-inspired outfits adding to the atmosphere.

The Hoe Down aims to bring together the local community for an evening of fun while raising vital funds for Yellow Brick Road Projects, which supports young people aged 16–35 through life skills programmes designed to break the cycle of homelessness.

Dmitrijs Meiksans, Director of The Local Marketing Company Ltd, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be working alongside the team at Finkley to bring this event to life – and raise crucial funds for our Charity of the Year, Yellow Brick Road Projects. This just goes to show that local businesses can indeed put their cowboy hats on and work together for a fantastic local charity.”

Farmer Kate, of Finkley Down Farm, said, “We are incredibly pleased to be hosting this experience after dark at Finkley in support of Yellow Brick Road Projects. The work YBRP does within our local community is so incredibly important, supporting young people at a time when they need it most.”

Siobhan Down, CEO of Yellow Brick Road Projects, said, “We are humbled by the generosity of two local businesses working together to support young people, and we can’t wait to see you all at the Hoe Down! Yee-haw!”

Tickets are priced at £50 per person, with a group ticket of 10 tickets available for a minimum donation of £450. All proceeds from the evening will go directly towards supporting the charity’s work with vulnerable young people across the Test Valley and beyond.

The event will take place at Finkley Down Farm, North Way, Andover, SP11 6NF.
