This year, for the first time, The Ringwood Society has co-ordinated a varied range of new events to expand the Heritage Open Days calendar in Ringwood. These events comprise a series of opportunities to look behind closed doors in the town, learn more about its heritage and history of our most loved places, and even include a pub tour! These events join regular independently organised events such as the ever popular opportunity to visit Bisterne Manor.
Heritage Open Days 2025 runs between 12th September 2025 and 21st September 2025 and is an annual national scheme established in 1994.

Chairman of The Ringwood Society, Alex Bancroft, commented, “This has been the first year we have co-ordinated events for Heritage Open Days, though it has been something we have wanted to do for a couple of years. We have been very lucky to have been joined on our committee by an expert in this field, and we are very grateful for her input. Ticket bookings have already been swift, with some events already close to selling out, so get booking fast. We look forward to taking part in Heritage Open Days 2026 after the success of this year already and would welcome anyone with a historic or unusual property in Ringwood who would like to be involved next year to get in touch with us.”
