Wimborne Minster Town Council was delighted to present its Volunteer of the Year Award for the municipal year May 2024 – May 2025 to Julie Shearing at the Mayor Making Ceremony held on Tuesday, 27 May 2025 in the Council Chamber at Wimborne Minster Town Hall.
Julie received the award in recognition of her exceptional commitment and service as a volunteer with the Wimborne Community Food Supply. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless support have had a profound and lasting impact on individuals and families across the local area.
The award was presented by re-elected Town Mayor, Councillor Jeff Hart, who commended Julie’s contribution to community life. “Julie represents the very best of Wimborne’s volunteer spirit. Her reliability, empathy, and generosity have made a real difference to so many. We are proud to honour her incredible service with this award.”
The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented annually to a member of the community who has gone above and beyond in their voluntary efforts, reflecting the values of civic pride and community service.
