Councillor Terry Cordery, the Mayor of Ferndown, is set to cycle 40 kilometres for charity on his 87th birthday! A dedicated supporter of the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF), Terry’s commitment has thrilled Linda and Pete Thornton, who are delighted that their charity was chosen for support during his mayoral year.
Terry will embark on this 40K journey along the Castleman Trail, accompanied by family members. If you would like to support Terry, please visit his JustGiving page.
Terry has already made a significant impact by organising a quiz night that raised over £2700 for the JTYAF. However, his fundraising efforts continue with the ‘40 for JT’ event, celebrating John’s life and legacy on what would have been his 40th birthday. The charity has encouraged supporters to take on challenges centred around the number 40. The variety of activities has been inspiring, and more are planned.
Terry’s 40K cycling challenge holds special significance and is deeply appreciated by everyone at the JTYAF. Pete Thornton commented, “We really can’t thank Terry enough. He is a great friend of the JTYAF and an inspiration to us all. He has Ferndown front and centre of everything he does and is totally committed to giving the youngsters in our community the opportunities they deserve.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Terry, the team at Ferndown Town Council, and all the participants for their incredible support.
