Langside School, a specialist school for children aged two to 19 with profound physical and learning disabilities and complex medical needs, welcomes new governors to the school’s governing body. Langside School’s governing body is responsible for determining the mission, values, and long-term ambitions for the school, as well as ensuring that pupils, parents, staff, and the wider community are involved.
The school governors are joined by:
- Amy Glendon-Smith, Parent Governor
- Lisa Delahunty (Waste Management Facilities), Corporate Governor
- Lee Ward, Community Governor
- Sue Harmon-Smith, Clerk of Governors
Geoff Ridgway, Chair of Governors at Langside School, commented: “It is great to welcome some new faces to the school governors. We meet regularly, where we set values, aims, and objectives for the school as well as implementing policy framework. We recently started a new governor’s newsletter to aid two-way communication between the school governors and the parents and carers of the children at Langside School.”
