Hampshire Hospitals Charity exists solely to ensure the experience of visiting and working in our hospitals is a good one. Together with our generous supporters, we aim to grow a happier, healthier Hampshire, supporting patients and staff at our hospitals in Winchester, Basingstoke, and Andover by providing important equipment and support.
We have ambitious plans to support a variety of projects that will enhance the environment of our hospitals but, to do that, we need to raise around £1million each year to pay for them.
Over recent years, the generosity of our local community has helped to fund a range of enhancements to our hospitals including cooling caps for cancer patients to help limit hair loss during treatment, a sensory room for young patients to explore, well-being gardens for patients, visitors and staff to relax in, a relatives’ room for patients’ loved ones to find peace and privacy, and comforting cuppas for our nursing teams so they can grab a break during a demanding shift.
We’re only able to do this thanks to the support of the community we serve and each year many people embark on their own fundraising to raise money. We also host several events across the local area for people to join in, enjoy, and help raise funds.
