In an incredible show of generosity from their members, Came Down Golf Club has raised a remarkable £10,000 for Mosaic, a Dorset-based charity dedicated to supporting bereaved children and young people. Outgoing Captain James Burleigh presented the cheque to Jo Revill from Mosaic at the club’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Mosaic provides vital support to children and families navigating grief, offering counselling, therapeutic services, and group support across Dorset. This significant donation will enable the charity to continue delivering its essential services to those in need.
James, who has served as Club Captain throughout the year, expressed his gratitude to all members and visitors who contributed so generously to the fundraising efforts. “The support and enthusiasm of our members have been incredible,” said James. “Raising £10,000 for such a worthwhile cause has been incredibly rewarding.”
James also thanked the Captain’s Committee and a dedicated team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to organise and support fundraising events throughout the year.
Jo from Mosaic shared her heartfelt thanks: “We are incredibly grateful to Came Down Golf Club for this amazing donation. £10,000 will make a huge difference, allowing us to continue providing crucial support to children and young people facing the loss of a loved one.”
