Wimborne, 14th September 2024 – Get ready to put on your aprons and showcase your baking skills at the Wimborne BID Food Festival’s Cake Competition! Taking place on 14th September 2024, this exciting event is set to be a highlight of the festival, inviting all cake enthusiasts to bake for a good cause.
Participants are encouraged to create their most delicious and visually stunning Dorset Apple Cake and bring them to the Marquee on Willow Walk between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm on the day of the event. Judging is at 3pm. The competition will be fierce, as our panel of expert judges will award fantastic prizes to the best cakes. The top prize is a stunning £150 pan set, with other exciting prizes also up for grabs.
Jeff Hart, a dedicated volunteer with Wimborne BID, shared his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “Everyone is invited to bake a delicious cake to raise funds for charity. The winning cake baker will win a £150 Neff pan set, courtesy of Dacombes of Wimborne—other prizes too! Have a go!”
