From here, travel across the water on a rowing boat (much more fun that walking!) and head to the historic Nothe Fort. Travel back in time and explore the historic ruins for a fun day out for all the family.
Head there on August 3rd where you can enjoy a fun filled evening of live music under the stars performed by Wessex Musical Theatre! Fancy a sweet treat? Try a delicious waffle from Wafflicious located opposite the helter skelter on the seafront. Hop on the Sealife land train to the Lodmore country park and jump on the miniature railway which is the perfect way for children to explore the nature.
Portland
Why not leave the car at home and hop on the Portland Coaster which will take you to the stunning Portland Bill. Perfect for little explorers, you can explore the functioning lighthouse and take in the breathtaking views of the surroundings.

This abandoned stone quarry has been transformed into a nature reserve and sculpture park and is the perfect place for family exploring.
