The U13 girls team of Ridgeway FC Falcons, a local Weymouth football club, have recently won the Division 3 League!
After a close run season, the team landed the top spot with a win in their final match against Wimborne Town FC U13 Magpies.
To celebrate the team and coaches had a quick training session on Weymouth beach, before heading over to their away shirt sponsors, Wafflicious, on the Esplanade opposite the helter skelter.
After a full team photo call with the Wafflicious crew, head coach, Lee, gave a quick introduction before Debbie Corney, owner of Wafflicious, presented the league medals and trophy to the team.
In her speech, Debbie said: “It is my absolute pleasure to present these to you all. You have worked so hard together as a team. We are so proud as your sponsors. What an achievement!”
After the presentations, everyone went into the ice cream and waffle parlour to enjoy their fresh celebratory desserts.
Debbie, Stephen, Hayden, Lizzie and the rest of the Wafflicious crew congratulated the team on their amazing result and they loved all their sweet and savoury waffles, ice cream and milkshakes.
Congratulations also to all the coaches and parents who help to make this all possible for the girls.
