The Swanage Folk Festival fills people’s heads with great music for one weekend each year. This year they’re also helping fill the Swanage foodbank.
Handing over a £1,000 cheque to the Swanage Foodbank are the Swanage Folk Festival’s Treasurer Matt Piper and chairperson Jon Baker, along with Lucy Cocke and Treasurer Ian Bandy of the foodbank.
Jon said:
“The Folk Festival is a nonprofit organisation, organised by volunteers. If there’s a surplus after the festival, it’s all donated to local good causes. We are very happy to support the foodbank as inflation, high heating and food costs make it needed more than ever before.”
