Ferndown PROBUS is a members’ club for retired or semi-retired professional men and our aim is to create a positive ambience of fellowship, friendship and fun.
We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Brabant Function Room, Dudsbury Golf Club, Hotel & Spa, Ferndown commencing at 12 noon. Meetings are centred around a two-course lunch, followed by a talk given by invited Speakers covering a diverse range of subjects. Many of our ladies meet for a more informal gathering in the Spikes Bar at the same venue at the same time or arrange to meet at an alternative location.
A coffee morning is also held at the Brabant Function Room on the second Wednesday of each month for our members and their partners to enjoy a relaxed and sociable get together.
Other social gatherings and events are arranged throughout the year in accordance with member interest.

Ferndown PROBUS Club were pleased to welcome the Editors of Modern Magazines to their Christmas lunch, which was held on 24th November at Remedy Oak Golf Club. The club has been grateful to Debbie, Stephen and their team for the support they have given us, particularly since our return from lockdown. Despite many clubs such as ours struggling to maintain a healthy membership, Ferndown PROBUS Club have been delighted to welcome 14 new club members since then and half of those joining us have identified Modern Magazines as the motivating source of their information about us. This promotion has therefore been very much appreciated.
Ferndown PROBUS is primarily a members Club for retired and semi-retired men. We meet for lunch on the first Wednesday of each month at Dudsbury Golf Club commencing at 12 noon.
Meetings are centred around a two-course lunch followed by a speaker of interest covering a wide range of topics. At the same time many of our Ladies meet in the clubs Spikes bar for an informal lunch. Coffee mornings for members, friends and partners are then held on the second Wednesday of the month at the same venue.
New members always add vibrancy to our club, so should you wish to join us you will be made most welcome.
